Lake Medical Spa & Skin Care Center is the Lake area’s first medical spa. Lake Medical Spa & Skin Care Center has been providing laser treatments since 1999. It is owned and strictly supervised by Dr. David B. Huang, M.D., Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, Member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Our facility is located in the heart of Lake of the Ozarks in Osage Beach, Missouri on Highway 54.
Lake Medical Spa & Skin Care Center started by providing laser treatments for skin rejuvenation, permanent hair reduction and spider veins and has expanded out to be able to offer our clients a full range of medically inclined spa treatments and laser treatments by licensed, professional, and fully trained staff. Our facility only utilizes FDA approved treatments and equipment for better client safety and satisfaction. All treatments are performed in a relaxing and welcoming environment where the client’s needs and concerns from first.

MEET DR. HUANG & THE STAFF
DAVID B. HUANG, MD
OSAGE VALLEY PLASTIC SURGERY & LAKE MEDICAL SPA, OWNER
Dr. David Huang grew up in California where he attended the University of California, Davis and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. He started his career in medicine when he attended the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1988.
After receiving his degree of doctor of medicine in 1992, he pursued his postgraduate medical training in General Surgery at Fairview General Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio from 1992 to 1996.
Dr. Huang then went on to specialize in Plastic Surgery when he completed his residency training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at St. Louis University, St Louis, Missouri, in 1998. He remained at St. Louis University for two years following his Plastic and Reconstructive Residency. Dr. Huang relocated to the Lake of the Ozarks in April of 2000 to start his private practice in Plastic Surgery after becoming familiar with the area while living in St. Louis. He is board certified in Plastic Surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons since 1999.
Dr. Huang performs both cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries. Cosmetic procedures include Breast Enhancements and lifts, Liposuction, Body contouring (tummy tuck, arms/thighs/back lifts), Facelifts, Eyelid Surgeries, and facial rejuvenations with Lasers and Injectables such as Fillers and Botox. Reconstructive procedures include Breast Reconstruction/Reductions, Facial and Body Reconstructions following trauma or surgery, and skin cancer resections/reconstructions.
CAROL ELLIOTT, RN, CPSN
CERTIFIED PLASTIC SURGERY NURSE AND INJECTOR
Carol has been a practicing nurse since 2003 and with us since 2017. A graduate of Lincoln University, her background includes nursing in emergency medicine, intensive care, and a critical care flight nurse for the University of Missouri Helicopter Service for 10 years. She is a current member of International Society of Plastic Surgery Nurses and in 2019 became a Certified Plastic Surgery Nurse. Carol is always continuing her education in aesthetics, staying up to date with the latest trends and techniques. In her spare time she enjoys being with her large family, riding atv’s, shooting guns, and is an active member at her church. Her four children keep her incredibly busy running around to dance competitions and sporting events like jujitsu, baseball and basketball. Carol currently injects Botox, Dysport, dermal fillers, Sculptra, Kybella and offers laser treatments at all locations.
lacey moore, LE
Practice Manager
Lacey has been an integral part of Osage Valley Plastic Surgery and Lake Medical Spa since 2015. With nearly two decades of experience in the aesthetics industry as a Licensed Esthetician, she brings extensive knowledge of the wide range of services the practice offers. In her current role as Practice Manager, Lacey is fully responsible for the day-to-day operations of our growing clinic.
Her leadership, organization, and dedication are vital to the smooth operation of the practice. If you have any questions, Lacey is always happy to assist.
LAURY VON GUNTEN, LE
CLINICAL ESTHETICIAN
Laury has been an licensed Esthetician since 2006. She is passionate about skincare and helping clients look and feel more beautiful and confident. She has advanced training in chemical peels, waxing and anti-aging massage techniques. She has also had training with Sciton and Fraxel Lasers. She is very experienced in evaluating skin types and conditions to determine the best course of therapy for clients. She prides herself with improving client’s skin while incorporating plenty of pampering.
Ashley Henningsen, LE
Licensed Esthetician and Laser Technician
Ashley is a highly skilled Licensed Esthetician with extensive training and certifications in a wide range of advanced aesthetic lasers and devices. She brings years of experience from working at a large medical spa in Kansas City before relocating back to the Ozarks, and her expertise has made her an invaluable part of the Lake Medical Spa team.
Passionate about helping clients achieve their skincare goals, Ashley offers a variety of services including Laser Hair Removal, Clear + Brilliant, Photofacial, Chemical Peels, HydraFacials, and Custom Facials. She sees clients at both our Osage Beach and Waynesville offices, where she combines her technical skill with a personalized approach to deliver exceptional results.
Bekah Davis, LE
Licensed Esthetician/Licensed Piercer
Voted Best Piercer 2025 by Lake Lifestyles
Bekah graduated Esthetics from Merrell University, where she graduated at the top of her class- achieving the Excellence Award. She enjoys further education and learning new services and techniques within the industry. Upon graduation she pursued esthetics in Jefferson City, Mo where she earned the title of “Best Esthetician for 2023.” She is excited to have made the move to the Lake of the Ozarks and bring her knowledge and skills to Lake Medical Spa. Her current favorite services are BioRePeel and MicroNeedling. When not at the spa, Bekah enjoys spending time with her identical twin sister, her cat Aspen, time at her local church, and outdoor activities; such as camping and fishing. She looks forward to meeting you in the treatment room at our Osage Beach and Rolla locations in order to help you achieve your skincare goals!
Paige Kempker, RN, BSN
Registered Nurse | Hormone Therapy Specialist | Aesthetic Nurse Injector
Paige Kempker earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri. She began her nursing career as a Certified Critical Care Nurse in the Medical Intensive Care Unit at the University of Missouri Hospital, where she provided high-acuity patient care for three years.
In 2023, Paige joined our practice, where she began collaborating closely with Dr. Huang in the clinical setting and assisting with surgical procedures. During this time, she also received hands-on training in aesthetic injectables under the mentorship of Carol.
In 2024, Paige became certified in bioidentical hormone replacement therapy and was honored with the Best of the Lakes award in Hormone Replacement Therapy—a recognition that highlights her commitment to helping clients achieve optimal wellness and vitality.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, Paige enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly paddleboarding, and has recently taken up learning to play the guitar in her free time.
Mychael Welch, RN, BSN
Registered Nurse | Clinical Specialist
Mychael is an aspiring Nurse Practitioner currently pursuing her advanced nursing studies at Cox College. She graduated with a bachelors of nursing degree from Lincoln University.
Currently, Mychael manages clinic where she specializes in post-operative care, helping patients through their recovery after surgery. In this role, she provides critical follow-up care, ensuring that each patient heals properly and gains the support they need during the recovery process. In addition to her clinic work, she occasionally assists in surgeries gaining hands-on experience in the operating room and further expanding her expertise in the field. Mychael also runs the erbium laser resurfacing.
Outside of her professional life, Mychael is a lover of the outdoors. She enjoys hunting and fishing, spending much of her free time in nature. She is also a dog lover, often accompanied by her loyal pets during her outdoor adventures.
Monica Marshall, RN, BSN
Registered Nurse | Clinical Specialist
With over 28 years of nursing experience, Monica Marshall brings a wealth of clinical expertise and heartfelt compassion to her role at Osage Valley Plastic Surgery. A graduate of St. Luke’s College in Kansas City, MO, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Monica has dedicated her career to providing exceptional patient care.
Monica plays a vital role in post-operative care and clinic operations. Her warm demeanor, keen attention to detail, and sense of humor make her a trusted presence for both patients and colleagues. Monica’s deep background in nursing allows her to anticipate patient needs and deliver top-quality care throughout every stage of their surgical journey. Whether she’s easing the concerns of a recovering patient or navigating complex insurance coordination, Monica approaches every task with professionalism, compassion and integrity.
In her free time, Monica enjoys spending time with friends and traveling. She especially loves relaxing with her husband and pets, who keep her smiling and grounded no matter how busy life gets.
Ashley Matthews
Front Desk Coordinator
Ashley has been in the medical field since 2008, from working as a CNA, pharmacy technician, to working in the optometry field. She has been a medical receptionist for 6 plus years. Ashley moved to the Lake of the Ozarks in 2018.
She is warm, bubbly and is one of the first faces you will see when walking into the office.
When she is not at Osage Valley Plastic Surgery, Ashley enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters boating on the lake or doing outdoor adventures like hiking.
